Over the Years
1951
Founded
- Celestina Marina Orellana founds Grupo CMO, a customs broker group head-quartered in Mexico City
1953
Expansion into US
- Grupo C.M.O. opens their next locations on both sides of the border; Laredo, TX and Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, soon to become the biggest trade port in the US
1987
Ownership Passed Down
- Jesus Alberto Marina officially inherits the Customs Broker Patent, taking over the company to form Cmarhnos, a freight forwarding and general distribution company in what is now the largest land port for Central & South American trade
1991
Warehouse Built
- Construction is finalized on the second and still current 40,0 sq ft warehouse off of Mine’s Rd in Laredo, TX
2018
Intro Into Pet Industry
- After graduating with a Masters in Business Administration, Fernanda Marina, branches out into exclusive distribution of pet products to the independent brick and mortar stores in Texas
2019
APEX Formed
- Alamo Pet Experts is formed and quickly grows to represent over 5 vendors and 100 retailers
2020
COVID-19
- COVID-19 didn’t stop us as we decided to invest in the future of the pet industry by acquiring a headquarters in Schertz, TX and expanding our inventory to offer a wider range of products and choices to our retail partners in preparation of a strong comebackÂ
2022
APEX Growing
- Alamo Pet Experts is operating stronger than ever, partnered with 250+ retailers in the Southwest region (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico) , and distributing over 25 manufacturers from all over the world
